With the rise of major food startups and India's online food ordering sector posing a strong growth rate in the number of daily orders, growing consistently at 15 % on a quarterly basis from January to September in 2018, it's surely a sector which has inherent potential in India. Hungry market segments in tier 1 cities are almost saturated and now the focus is getting a shift to tier2 and tier 3 cities. This idea was nurturing in the mind of young graduate in Year 2009. This lucrative sector caught his attention. He mentions: "The idea for this startup came into my college days when the food ordering was not an easy stuff if you want to taste your favorite meals you have to visit the restaurants and order."

How About Building the Core Team?
Ideas can only scale when you have a team of dedicated employees. Being the CEO selecting the team was very crucial task for me. The Technology was provided by our team in Banaglore. Our Head chef Pandey ji has played a crucial role in maintaining the best quality of food. Suman Kumari being the COO is the backbone of our company, Operations is headed by Roshan Kumar. Piyush Kumar takes care of Strategy & Legal within team. Raj Shekhar Suman being the CTO and also being the digital Marketing strategist and Heading the Digital Media Team.
Discussing about the traction and business operations, BookMyMeal has shown a rapid growth since its establishment. Starting with revenue of 80 lakhs in first year, Book My Meal revenue grown to 5 crore in the second year or the current year.Having the potential to scale the total revenue of INR 30 crore per year in the next 3 years. This seems to be really a scalable startup.
BMM- What's Their USP?
The things that kept them way ahead of their competitors is that they have our own in-house international standard kitchen. Along with this they have our their very own delivery chain. Having own kitchen gives an edge to their competitors as they can have strict vigil on quality and standard of food preparation and packaging.
Book My Meal is currently operating in Patna. They undertake orders from their online portal and app and the rest of the work is done by the in-house team.
Talking about the future prospects, Aditya mentions that "We have a very detailed future plan. The company has a plan of expansion of its operation in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Along with it various services to be started like Book my meal junior which will provide lunch to school children in school. They are also planning to establish multiple base kitchens to meet the growing food demand.
